Planning Your BOTOX Cosmetic Treatment
BOTOX Cosmetic is an extraordinarily versatile product that has been used for many years to treat a variety of medical and cosmetic complaints. Unlike JUVÉDERM® or JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC, which physically fill in lines, wrinkles, and areas of diminished volume, the active ingredient in BOTOX Cosmetic temporarily relaxes the muscles that cause wrinkles. This means that BOTOX Cosmetic is especially well-suited to dynamic wrinkles, which are caused by muscle contraction. These include:

Case 46, Botox & Dysport® Orlando
Chelsea. Botox. This case demonstrates the cosmetic benefits of Botox. Her results are shown at 1 month following 25 units of Botox in the Corrugator Muscle. Patients typically receive treatment every 4 months and return to work the same day after a lunch time visit. She is very happy.
Case 124, Laser Skin Resurfacing Case
Dotty. CO2 Laser. Dotty needed DOT CO2 laser treatment and Botox to reduce the lines around her eyes. Results at 3 months. This was done as an outpatient and recovery was 5 days. Botox was used to soften the Crow's Feet.
Case 85, Dysport® Case
Jamie wanted her eyebrow furrows reduced and a softer look. Dr. Gross treated her with Botox to achieve these pleasing results. Results last ~ 4 months and slow the aging process in treated areas.

What to Expect
When you visit Primera Med Spa for BOTOX Cosmetic injections, you'll receive thoughtful, carefully planned treatment and world-class service. If you're visiting for the first time, you'll begin with a consultation with our injector. During this private meeting, he or she reviews your medical history and your areas of concern to ensure that BOTOX Cosmetic is the appropriate treatment for you. Your provider may recommend another treatment such as fibroblast lift therapy instead of or in addition to BOTOX. In many cases, you may have your injections the same day, shortly after your consultation.
Your experienced injector begins by cleansing the treatment area. He or she will identify and mark the injection sites, then administer the quick injections with a tiny needle. Each injection lasts only seconds and feels like a pinch. We often use topical lidocaine cream to improve your comfort. After your treatment, we offer an herbal supplement called arnica montana to help reduce bruising.
Enjoying Your Results
Following your BOTOX Cosmetic treatments, you can return to most of your normal activities immediately. However, our practitioners advise against bending over or putting pressure on your face for the remainder of the day. This ensures that the product distributes more evenly.
You may experience localized swelling, redness, bruising, itchiness, or tenderness for a couple of days after your injections. These side effects are typically quite mild and shouldn't keep you from participating in everyday activities.
Your results appear gradually, and you should see your final outcome in 5 to 7 days. Your results can last anywhere from 3 to 6 months, depending on which areas of your face or neck were treated. Most patients choose to undergo routine BOTOX Cosmetic treatments, and some clinical studies suggest that regular treatments can prolong results.
